SPRING 2012 REGISTRATION

Spring registration is now open for our baseball program. West Raleigh is no longer offering a softball league.

Registration ends February 4th.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, February 11th and Sunday February 12th. If the weather does not cooperate, tryouts will be held the following weekend. A 2012 Spring Tryout Schedule will be posted soon. Every attempt should be made to attend tryouts the second weekend of February.

We will offer a make-up day for all leagues tryouts on Saturday, February 18th, if weather permits. If for some reason the weather cancels the make-up tryouts on the 18th - they will not be rescheduled. For this reason, please plan to attend the first weekend of tryouts.

Training Clinic

The clinic is designed to help get your player ready for the season by teaching the correct fundamentals for hitting, throwing, base running, infield, outfield, and pitching.

All Kids Ages 6-12 Are Welcome

Space will be limited in each age group, so send your registration in early to ensure a spot in your player age group. Ages 6-12 as of 4/30/12.

NOTE: Payment for the Clinic can be done via the Online Store (in the upper left section of the website in Quicklinks), or by mailing a check to WR with the Clinic form (available in the Download section to the right); please make checks payable to West Raleigh Baseball Association and send to the address above. If you pay through the website, please mail the form or bring it with you to the Clinic. Mailed forms must be received by February 2nd.

Only cash or check can be accepted at walk-in registration.

2012 Spring Calendar and Game Schedule

In an effort to help families plan ahead, West Raleigh has posted the 2012 Spring Main Calendar (in the download section to the right) and we have uploaded the game schedule for all teams. Some dates and times could be subject to change at the discretion of the Baseball Committee and Mother Nature.

Calendar- these are projected dates for clinics, tryouts, drafts, etc.; more detail about these events will be posted over the next few weeks.

Game Schedule- please note that this year traditional school Spring Break takes place the week following Opening Day; while there are no games on Easter weekend, all teams have games during the other days of Spring Break (which has always occurred).

Coach Clinic- Open to Everyone

The Doyle Academy will be holding a Coaches' Certification Program on February 25th at West Raleigh.

The program is mandatory for Spring 2012 West Raleigh head coaches, highly recommended for assistant coaches, but open to anyone wishing to participate. There is a $20 fee. Please see Program Flyer in download section to the right.
